To Our Outstanding Guests

We want to thank you for your patience during this challenging time. Sincerely. The health and safety of our guests, staff, and community are vital to us. We know our guests expect the highest standards at The Loft Hair Salon, and we are committed to providing that in the safest possible way. We believe the safest way to handle operations is to treat everyone, including ourselves as if they could be infected. Our Wisconsin State Board of Cosmetologists has posted guidelines for salons. The Loft Hair Salon is implementing strict protocols to protect our guests and our employees to the best of our ability. We greatly appreciate the cooperation of our guests during these challenging times. If you have any questions, please email us at The_Loft@live.com.

  1. Guests will be required to wear a CLEAN mask that secures around their ears for the entirety of their appointment. We ask our guests to provide their own and have it on before entering the salon due to restrictions on supplies. We will have masks on hand in the event you do not have one. 
  2. During the shampoo process, a disposable face shield will be provided. We are requesting guests and service providers not to speak while at the shampoo sinks.
  3. It is not mandatory to wear gloves, but guests are expected to follow proper hand sanitizing procedures upon arrival for your appointment, after using the restroom, and upon sneezing or coughing.
  4. To control the number of people in the salon at any given time, we ask guests to call or text the salon upon parking. Our front desk associate will let you know when to enter the salon.  
  5. Guests may not bring anyone other than themselves to their service appointment, including children. Should a minor above the age of 12 have a service appointment, the parent may drop them off at the door, and pick up at the same door after service. 
  6. We require each guest to complete an intake form. During the intake process, to document arrival date/time, sign a form stating that they have not been sick with COVID in the past 14 days, or have they been around someone who was diagnosed or told to do so self-quarantine during that time.
  7. We are requesting all our color or perm guests to come in with clean, dry hair. Please do not use any hair conditioner or styling products.
  8. To minimize your time at the salon, we are offering virtual consultations to assess our guest's current hair situation, discuss price, expectations for the appointment, book multiple visits if needed, and ask about at-home care for their hair.
  9. We are temporarily suspending all complementary services, including magazines, beverages, children's treasure chest, testers, and samples. Rest assured, we hope to get back to a new standard that will offer many of the added value services and extras you have come to enjoy.
  10. Booking future appointments: To limit the amount of time a guest is in the salon, we will not be rebooking guests while they are in the salon. Instead, we will call them after they leave to set up their next appointment. 
  11. Contactless greetings- As much as we would love to give our guests hugs and handshakes, we will be refraining from doing so.
  12. Cancellation/no-show policy- Guests will not be penalized for last-minute cancellations due to illness. However, please provide us with information as soon as possible so we can adjust our schedules accordingly. We are trying our best to get every guest back in as quickly as possible.
Sanitation Protocols
Social Distancing – Since the six-foot social distance guideline is not practical between the service provider and guest, we are implementing the following protection procedures:

  1. All service providers will be only working on one guest at a time. 
  2. All service providers are required to wear a mask during each service. A face shield is required during the washing of hair.​
  3. Service providers are required to disinfect all combs, brushes, scissors, touched surfaces(stations), and tray for each service performed. 
  4. Capes, neck strips, and towels will only be used once per client.
  5. The support staff will be disinfecting commonly used surfaces every 30 minutes.
  6. The support staff will prepare retail purchases.
  7. All staff has undergone updated certification on sanitation protocols via Barbacide ™ and OSHA.gov.
  8. Our stations meet the required six-foot social distancing; as an added precaution, we are using partitions between the closest stations.
